Melbourne Dragon Martial Arts provides a supportive and inclusive environment to learn how to protect yourself. You develop self-esteem, confidence, resilience and competence under the tutelage of Sensei Damian Wilson (Founder) and Sensei Davin Davis. At Melbourne Dragons Martial arts we teach a traditional style of martial arts; Goju Ryu Karate, Muay Thai/Kick Boxing and provide regular self-defence classes. All of our classes are taught at our Collingwood dojo. At Melbourne Dragons we offer martial arts that is easy to learn for all ages and abilities, be you a seasoned martial artist or an absolute beginner.
Our LGBT Friendly Self Defence Training Space
Melbourne Dragon Martial Arts is Melbourne’s first inclusive LGBT+ martial arts club. We offer Martial Arts and self defence classes in our queer friendly Collingwood dojo. We run our Karate classes and Muay Thai/Kick Boxing once a week at our accessible Melbourne martial arts Dojo. Located close to the CBD, the Collingwood Dojo is open to all members of the LGBT+ community and their allies.
We offer a free first class, so come along to get a feel for our Dojo.
Getting Started As a Beginner With Self Defence Classes
For newbies we encourage you to commit to coming for at least 8 weeks to classes to form the habit and discipline for training. We have very flexible class payment options.
